Todd Benson
Project Manager, Hunt Energy Enterprises
Before joining Hunt Energy Enterprises, Benson was the engineering manager for a directional drilling startup active in most North American drilling regions. He was responsible for quality control, improvement/failure analysis and generation of differentiating IP including downhole mud motors and MWD components for extreme drilling environments.
Prior to working in oilfield technologies, Benson worked for Motorola/Freescale Semiconductor in many roles from managing a worldwide operation P&L to managing international applications engineering teams focused on DSP, Coldfire and ARM platforms for consumer and automotive applications. Prior to Motorola, he worked for Texas Instruments on the laser printer and laptop computer product lines developing new product electro-mechanical elements and supporting production sustaining efforts.
Benson holds two patents with three more pending and has written articles for EE Times and DSP Multimedia and Design. He earned a bachelor of science degree in engineering with emphasis in electrical and mechanical specialties from the Colorado School of Mines.
